Looking for something new and exciting for your children this summer?
This summer we are running our first EVER summer holiday club, for 9-11 year olds.
Each high energy, fun packed session will include games, craft activities, lots of silliness (of course, its the summer holidays) and we will be making AS MUCH NOISE AS POSSIBLE with our Samba instruments.
It doesn't matter whether your child can read music, play like Mozart or has never picked up an instrument in their life before SAMBA IS FOR EVERYONE!!
It is super high energy, ridiculously accesible and we can even dance around whilst we drum (in fact, it will be positively encouraged!!!.... no 'sit still and do as you're told' at a Jayne Guest Music Activity)
Each session will start with a Rio Carnival themed craft activity whilst we wait for everyone to arrive, through the week we will also be making our entrance area into a Brazilian Rainforest so everyone can help with that!!
Once everyone has arrived we will play some games (not going ot lie, just another excuse for us to run around and be silly, think play balls everywhere, obstacle courses, loads of balloons to run around with... you get the idea!!)
The we will take a well earned snack break before we have a go with the instruments. We will be starting learning rhythms with body percussion and smaller drums before we move onto the BIIIIIIIIIG Samba drums. We will make sure everyone gets to try every drum before we create some serious Samba Vibes to share with the parents at pick up time!!
